About me
Akane Kubo
Graphic designer – Textile designer – Illustrator

I create collections of patterns and illustrations, imagined as sensitive and poetic worlds. They are intended for professionals in fashion, children’s products, lifestyle, and stationery.
Graduated in textile design from Tama Art University in Tokyo, I have been living in France since 2003. After a wonderful experience as part of the graphic design team at Barbara Rihl, I began presenting my work at the Première Vision trade show in 2016.
I often draw inspiration from the colors and textures of the past—those found in vintage pieces or traditional craftsmanship—to create illustrations that tell a story. My narrative designs delicately weave together Japanese and French cultural influences.
Each design is an invitation to travel—filled with softness, dreams, and emotion.
